The teeth can be covered with plaque or tartar that is colored tobacco, coffee, tea or red wine. Scaling and polishing of teeth are sufficient to eliminate these tasks.
The coloring can be housed in the enamel and dentin in teeth. This can be caused by tooth decay, smoking, certain medications in infancy as tetracycline or excessive fluoride consumption.
